  1. #1 need help bike runs in neutral and first perfect

    i dont understand bike runs perfect in neutral idles perfect and runs hard in first but i shift to second and the bike breaks up sputters and i pull clutch in and it stalls bike start right back up i can drive in first all day i was riding yesterday and the back acted like it ran out of gas and this bull shit started i cant find any loose conections also how do you adjust you neutral light in first my neutral light is still on

    Try this.

    Bypass the neutral/gear indicator switch (Google for info about your specific bike) and see if your 2nd gear problem goes away.

    I had a similar problem, it was the kickstand cut-off safety switch that was faulty, just bypass that shit by twisting the wires together and throwing that bloody switch away, also the clutch safety switch, get rid of that too... should fix your problem

    Welcome to MCM. When you have a moment post some info about you and your ride under the introductions section. As to your question, some specific info on bike make, model etc would go a long way, to getting some of us regular MCM'ers helping you out...

    I am thinking of your choke, possibly...maybe you have it pulled up in half choke? Now that it has been getting colder around here, I have been half-choking my bike when I start it up, and get out on the road for nearly a mile/km. It lets me know it needs to be opened up when I roll on the throttle by sputtering, etc.

    But like Doc said-let us know what kind of bike you are riding and what brand/model and engine size.
