    Asiawing LX450

    New bike ready for delivery

    Test bike...

    Me riding it badly!!!

    Final thoughts........

I'm a road bike rider, so pretty well unqualified to review a dirt bike! However I have ridden plenty of single cylinder bikes. I would say that the bike seems pretty dead up to (I'm guessing here as no tacho) about 4-5000RPM the the power band kicks in and she starts to give you a kick. Seems nicely balanced, and the tires bite nicely. With aluminum frame and good finish quality this bike might sell very well if priced right. Bike has carb and Asiawing want to have injectors for all models especially road-going versions that can meet EPA and EEC regulations. Versions of the bike in different colors, with lights and more road orientated tires are available. The bike is available now and is registrable in China.

Someone who is more familiar with modern Japanese dirt bikes of a similar size might be able to give a more qualified review.

They must have been 'inspired' by the Yamaha!

I have a suspicion that the engine is actually an officially licensed Yamaha engine which really should be being put in quad bikes, and are unofficially bought and put in these bikes.

these bikes tend to borrow a little from here, a little from there....

I was playing around the net, and found a business to business site for Asiawing with asking prices, wholesale. I forget the price in Yuan, but I converted it to USD and it came out to about $3500. However, I do believe that this will probably be the retail price in the US--just my speculation

I agree, the swing-arm and frame are not similar to the Yamaha at all.
