    Hi mcmers...,

My bike was stolen today around 1:00 a.m. i think., its a black GW with red brake and clutch levers in it., my sit was slashed by previous offender thus making the bike more recognizable...any information about the bike would be very much appreciated...ill post some pics later.

Sorry to hear about this. Will keep a lookout for it. I really hope you can recover it. I've had a bike stolen before, it's terrible, but mine wasn't as new or valueable as yours.

On a side note, how was the bike secured? I think we can all learn from this and make our bikes more secure.

Really sorry to hear this. Have you started putting out the word through the motorcycle community? There are a lot of guys in Shanghai who would know where to look. I'd start with our Jialing guy Liu Zhidong 刘志东, the Qiyi guy Simon Wang 王俺云, and our own shanghaifingers. I'll PM you some contacts.

Really very sorry to read of this! Not pleasant at any time, but undoubtedly worse given the timing of the year, for most of us that read these pages/forums... the locals - not so much. As ZMC888 asked, some specifics (when you have the time and motivation) in terms of how bike was parked/secured etc., might assist the rest of us here moving forward.

Any GongAn's round at the time? CCTV cameras that you might be able to access and review footage, or assist the PSB so that they 'might' assist with such/any requests to access CCTV etc.

Hopefully something positive manifests itself for you crismoe' - I've my fingers crossed.

Good to hear you're not ending your year bike-less. I hope the bike isn't to f***ed up, and please give us some details of the recovery, etc.
