01-25-2014, 06:13 PMHello forumites,
when I was living in Beijing, I often went to Mr. Cai's shop in 奖台路. They mostly sold scooters (like the infamous R9 or the Yamaha copies) and did a decent repair on all sorts of motorcycles. They had fair prices, all tools and lots of foreign customers.
Now I moved to Shanghai and I am looking for a shop just like that.
Yes, I searched the forum and I found this thread:
http://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/sh...ps-amp-Dealers
But the shops I am looking for are more the Chinese brand kind of shops - rather not getting plated, but still decent.
Does anybody know where to find that in Shanghai?
Cheers,

01-26-2014, 05:03 PMAlright, I found a whole area of shops just by asking some riders on the streets:
交暨路 in 普陀区。

According to one rider the shops have all types of scooters - 国产 and 进口. I went there tonight only to find out that they are closed for 春节, as the staff already went home...

02-05-2014, 04:20 AMi was about to suggest that area...
Those shops sell some decent scooters... especially quality... they may be yamaha copies (approximately 6500 RMB ) but they are using the best parts and quality parts.
Other shops around will sell for cheaper (2800 RMB etc) but they are crap quality.
R9's etc i think taobao ?
I've ordered a bike off taobao... not much trouble just as long as you have some tools to set it up yourself
