The only company that would have chance in the USA is Qianjiang. If they could set up a dealer network in the USA they would have a chance. Those operations in Texas are not qualified to do that IMO. They chose Texas for financial reasons they should actually be operating in California and hire some talented operations and marketing people.

No particular reason as far as I know? A distributor I know told me the other day about it and had spoken to one of the last 3 people there.
I think you have it correct, MJH. California would streamline the operations just by nature of a whole lot of distributors there feeding off of each other (in a good way). For instance, one of the, if not THE biggest, dealers of the XF/XP200 bike is/was JP Motorsports of San Diego. Proximity to them would have allowed them to see why this was so, as well as set up more dealers in California. Their scooters, too should have sold decently.
