Though I'm kinda a interested, I'd have to say that it is more of a touring model than ADV! No spoked rims, only 150mm ground clearance, etc.

Measured the ground clearance from the lowest point (crankcase) and found 190mm (19cm) clearance while bike was held vertical without rider. Measured the ground clearance of a R1150GS while on the center-stand also without rider (unfortunately using the center-stand raises the back wheel and consequently lifts the bike up thereby increasing ground clearance) and discovered that the beemer has 300mm (30cm) though several centimeters really would need to be deducted to allow for the increased height of the beemer while on the center-stand.

Perhaps the loss of 40mm (4cm) [190-150=40) difference in ground clearance quoted by Benelli is measured with rider and full luggage? Still lack of bash plate, center-stand and ABS is a pity IMO. Though as previously noted the bike will be sent to the Benelli overseas factory as parts and assembled with better components including ABS.

Measured length of front shocks and found they are 750mm, same length as the shocks on the BN600. Front fork travel total is only approximately 50mm. I'll have to double check that, but it is not a lot of travel for a bike intended as a adventure tourer. An adventure tourer needs lengthy suspension to handle anything that one might reasonably encounter on any tour.

I'd imagine that once the model has been released abroad and if sales are favourable an after market segment may develop where other accessories and add-on's can be sourced. If this is the case, a center-stand would be my number one purchase.

Did anybody already tested the bike?
I'm really excited to know the truth
