I've had a Legend 250 Qlink for about 6 years. It's been a very reliable bike with minor problems. The problem I'm having is that the bike is discontinued. I've used Qlink's online parts site and the people who run it are just plain rude. I'm to the point where I'll probably never buy another Qlink even though it's been a super deal for me. It's paid fr itself 3 times over. Drove it almost everyday for 4 years. Now it's become a parts problem. That means I can never trust Qlink again. They don't support what they sold in the past.

My Clutch is starting to slip. I need clutch plates and no one at Qlink will help me identify the plates (and a cover gasket). The engine is a 4 stroke verticle parralel twin, air cooled, 233cc. Can anyone identify this engine in a way that can help me order the clutch plates? Anyone know the size of the plates? How many I need? Will standard clutch springs work? Size?

    Thanks!

    !
Qlink is closing down shop in the US--be careful what you wish for :-)
As 'humanbeing' pointed out, there is a Honda it was based on. However, I am quite sure the bike was also branded another, or others', brands.

I certainly got my money back.....paid 2300.00 out the door new. Drove it 6 years.....20k miles. Put maybe 600.00 in it total. I won't buy another because of the parts situation.

The thing is the engine seems like it will run forever. It starts after it sits for a while... every time. Runs like the day I bought it. If the CA250 Honda parts cross over then I guess I could buy a junked Rebel and drop the engine on it if the other stuff starts to fail big time.

I could hook up an alternator to it and make a generator out of it. lol!

I've talked to numerous dealers......they said don't expect the Honda clutch plates to work....back to the drawing board. I need to find someone that's sitting on 250 legend clutch plates. .....or can positively identify the chinese parts and where to get them.

Also, Here's a picture of the clutch cover and engine. It looks different from a Rebel CA250's cover. Can I use permatex to make a gasket? Seal it without a standard gasket?

Is there any website that will be able to tell me if the clutch plates are the same if I take them out and measure them with calipers. Any special way to measure them?

I'm wondering if the center nut will be peened like the rebel. I don't have a torque wrench.....may have to buy one unless someone can tell me it's okay to do it without torquing.

For the Clutch plates it looks like some have 8 tabs and some have 12 tabs for the CG125 plate....do you know which one is correct for the Qlink? I'm guessing 8 but want to be sure..... It seems like all the chinese clutch kits have 5 plates (for the honda 125).....I'm going to have to buy 2 kits so i want to get the right parts.
