    Hi,
I'm trying to fix my Chunlan CL-125-3 (sold here as Chunlan Tiger De Luxe), 2004. I'm a bit scared about opening the engine without knowing what to expect. Does anyone have, or know about, a workshop manual? Or something similar, spare part catalogue, any kind of drawing,...?
    Thanks!

    Domestic version:

    Export version:

    ---

Engine: (Domestic) CB125T clone -From my rusty memory it's made by Lifan (Export) NOT sure 2 CDI/ twin carbs = CB125T clone (180 crank) | 1 CDI/ single carb = "CM" clone (360 crank)
Wiring: (Domestic) http://do.ejdz.cn:8087/%E6%91%A9%E6%...F%E5%9B%BE.gif Draws it http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2422295,00.asp OR ask if don't know the meaning

    Others: Compares to CM125C | http://www.bergamaschi.com/Download/...alogue_Low.pdf
www.huoniao-owners.co.uk [HN125-8 ...] is the place for later year alloy wheel "CM" copies. Some mods from there are suitable for ur bike.

What's the problem in ur bike? It maybe a simple fix

If I remember, the engine of this bike has only 1 carb. So, it's a copy of the Honda CM 125. You can use the Honda Workshop manual. (Because, if you use the Chunlan workshop manual, you are not ready to sleep) .
How many kilometers is your "Tiger"?

I have the export version (from MotoScoot, as the one on the pic), a twin carb (or two in one block), so I'll try to find the CB125T manual, thanks!
It has about 15000, from which about 1500 was in 2 days, then it died on me, probably from overheating or something... The engine stopped (I can't move it a bit), the gears are stuck (I can change only between 4 and 5) and the oil level gauge is half melted. I will try to open the engine this weekend...

So, obviously, your engine seized. Il the oil gauge has melted, certainly the overheat came from a lack of oil or a crankshaft bearing. (Which was current on this bike but, curiously, this problem is supposed to come before 15,000 Km) Look like your bike was a very good one.

Well, I got the CB125 manual, opened the engine head and it's quite different from the manual - camshaft chain is between the pistons, it's a multiple chain, etc.

a bit OT: The largest problem we are having right now is, that we can't turn the engine (it's seized), so we can't disassembly the chain, and also we can't open the right crankbox cover (the one near clutch) either. We took out all the bolts, but the cover wouldn't move at all. So no way to get inside... any ideas?

P.S.: there was plenty of oil, so that's not a problem...

What tool is on hand? Penetrating oil + impact wrench will frees the bolt mostly.
If can't sloves from here. U may ask it in http://www.bikechatforums.com/viewforum.php?f=33. There's a bloke http://www.bikechatforums.com/profil...rofile&u=65219 that had lots experiences about Honda twin.

Thanks a lot for the links, that's the kind of engine I have! Are they really identical (a clone)? I.e. can I buy a Honda engine and mount it to my Chunlan?

I was able to release the bolts, that's not a problem, the problem is, that even after that (with all the bolts out) the right cover doesn't go off the engine... In the first manual you've posted, page 47 (48 of pdf), where we should use a soft mallet to tap lightly around the cover to break the seal, we hammered it quite hard (hammer through a piece of wood), but without success...

Agree with humanbeing, cut at the seam, heat it up (a bit), cool it off and remove it.
