Where do you guys who live in China typically buy your parts from?

I have a Zongshen RX3 and a couple of the things on my list are:

    -DID Chain
    -Front Brake Pads

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks,
    Steve

Yeah, my only concern is that taobao has so much fake crap! I guess I'll try to find a reputable seller. Thanks

Very true !! But you can weed out the fake
Stuff by the price !! the item is being sold for
When is to cheap there must be a reason !!!
I am sure you can spot the fakes .

The TaoBao stores have on right upper side of the page various symbols. Check for blue diamonds (more then one) or even better blue crones (High reputation). Avoid normally only one heart. The still have not collected reputation. My wife is a TaoBao shopping monster and gave me some hints :-)

That is worth considering for sure... but one of the websites scamming prospective buyers of motorcycles (selling new motorcycles) had as many crowns as I've ever seen for any of the 'top' Taobao sellers. The seller mantained that they could only accept payment via the Alipay donation/charity sister website that has a similar appearance as Alipay (escrow service). I laid a complaint over the particular sellers antics resulting in the seller's Taobao presence being frozen/locked and then later removed from Taobao.

While the advice to look for sellers with blue diamonds and blue crowns is worthwhile, it is worth knowing that just like many aspects of life, living and doing business in PRC everything is open to infiltration and abuse - Taobao's ranking system is no different. There are software hacks than can artificially inflate a sellers rating.

Everything is just for looking, for nothing is as it seems, beAware the smoke and mirrors...
    YMMV
