Sorry but I don't know how to adjust semi auto clutch but maybe these sites will help.

I just push down for first gear from neutral and accelerate for a bit and then up shift to second, same for third, and fourth gear.
Nothing special.
Maybe someone else can join in with better information.

Maybe he needs to adjust the auto clutch. Sounds like it is not releasing.
