He told me to do light exercise and not to lift anything heavy for 6 weeks. I thought a bit of gentle throttle action would be acceptable :-)

Decided to go out for a bit of a run this afternoon, the weather was dry and skies clear but it was only about 5˚ C, it certainly felt colder riding along. Had 4 layers on my legs and feet and i still felt cold. Did a round trip from home, about 10 miles in all. Was glad to get back TBH, think i need to invest in proper winter biking wear. The Lifan performed ok but was fignting a chilly head wind. Think i may suspend exhaust/speed testing till spring arrives. That or just fit a 125 engine, might be less hassle in the long run. Have seen a full engine kit on Ebay UK for around £240 delivered. Although the Daytona190 looks mighty attractive :-)

Sitting at home now next to the stove thinking about dinner and having to go back to work tomorrow.

BTW-- I've added another Chinese bike to the stable. I picked up a minty 2011 Kymco Like 200i scooter just before Christmas. It had a whopping 400 miles on the clock. I guess they're built in Kymco's Chinese factory. I've never owned a fuel injected bike before.
