    Hi.

I have a Pioneer XF200 and it will not start. The engine turns ok, and there is a spark but there is no petrol smell from the cylinder , so could this be a blockage in the carb?

I have already stribpped the carb and all jets appear to be clean, but there still seems to be no fuel getting further than the float chamber. Any suggestions would be welcome, Thanks.
    Regards

    Jim

The diaphragm appears to be undamaged. I will strip the carb down again and check the diaphragm again and the jets for blockages.
Would I be able to replace this carb for a non-diaphragm type? There seems to be more of these available fairly cheap.
    Regards

It seems to be much more serious. The timing is out because the flywheel has moved. The key strip (Which goes in the groove onb the crankshaft) has broken for some reason. Can these be replaced?

Jim the key is a woodruff key and you can replace it . You can lap the flywheel to the taper on the shaft with some valve grinding paste to get the two parts matching nicely . Then clean it well and fit the new key, tighten the retaining nut with some Loctite.

Stock key is (3 x 13 mm) http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=12308468065 / Cheap as peanut in hardware supplier http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=37678037543 | Suzi service manual mentions HIGH tensile threadlocker (RED Loctite "27?" is similar) in that area.

    Hi.

Thanks for that. It's an exact match. I did look on cmpo.co.uk but there are none with the correct part number and they are £5.99. http://www.chinesemotorcyclepartsonl...e=woodruff+key

I will now send for the correct one from China. Many thanks.

I managed to fing a UK supplier for my Woodruff key. The nearest one that fits is for a Suzuki RM250. These are easily available on ebay:
