benelli bj465ms-a engine clones

wondered. is it possible to replace the benelli engine? perhaps there is some analogues of famous brands(yamaha kawa suzuki etc) with better technical characteristics? is this engine (bj465ms-a) a copy of smt?

There may be other engines that could fit, but surely it would need to be an expensive engineering project.

From what I have heard, and I could be wrong, appartently the Benelli engine in the bike is designed by Italian Benelli engineers in Italy as something called project quattro, to design a 4 cylinder engine. So as far as I know it's not a copy of anything.
