It was warm winter weather and sun for KiKikiller Kat and our southeast China 2015 New Year motor bike tour . We wanted to start the year on two wheels with the wind in our faces . Plus some tropical scenery & sandy beach biking ...
We got it 'all and some 'more with some rough roads in Guangxi Province { finally jumped on G 75 to Zhanjiang , Guangdong & G 15 south to ferry port } .

Note - we prepped the 'big scooters with plenty of lighting . Kiki went LEDs ..I went HID . They worked like a 'charm , as we did our final 'leg from Hainan's Baisha mountain area to Wanning in 'inky darkness - yet clear roads and no fog .
Overview - it was clear skies & quiet roads around Nanning , but dusty New Years roads heading east from Nanning to Guangdong . Mid afternoon gave us dozens of rock laden trucks - it was time to stop at Gong Guan town and a nice new resort to plan for a daybreak start .
Daybreak was more rough roads and lots of small erratic motor bikers - time to check out the expressway ...Bingo !!...plenty of space to 'slide our bike past the toll gate. Yes ' we broke the law and was cruising 100 kph { maybe a tad more } . Two expressway motor vehicle patrols 'pull beside us to request us to get off ..we nodded and stayed the course .
Arrived at the Guangdong /Haikou Ferry Port after a brunch and had a 3 hour break before motoring across Haikou to meet some fellow bikers .

Haikou is Hainan's capital and way too many cars ...next mid morning was bumper to bumper as we did our southwest sweep out of town to Danzhou City. This is home to the island's largest lake 'Song Tao . The lake was fabulous and we connected with a local man for a return visit for camping & boating .

Last day was blue skies with temps in the upper 20s { it was hot ! } . Road surfaces were mostly concrete with 30+ km vistas..it was hard to keep the eyes on the very curvy mountain roads .
We took a lot of pictures and a 'special thanks to my navigator Ms Jane ..enjoy the attached !
Oh and about the beaches ...yes 'KiKiKiller Kat will get us those as he is scoping out more of this tropical 'Eden ..
