Tags are limited, (Beijing stopped issuing tags some time ago) and the pool is getting leaner, one reason is that early on, many expats left without selling the tags.... price went up due to availability. 100.ooK in Beijing and rumor is it is going up... if they do like shanghai did and allow trade in for a car number plate, there may even be less in the future.
