You do know the #1 rule on every motorcycle forum in the world is not to ask the "what oil" question? Read your owners manual and adjust for local temp conditions.
You should run Spectro Platinum 4 Full Synthetic 15W50 $18.00 per liter.
http://www.spectro-oils.com/platinum-full-synthetic/
Everything else is complete crap and spending anything less than $18 for a liter of oil is just being cheap. Spectro Platinum 4 Full Synthetic is the best oil in the world and anyone that disagrees with me is wrong.
Cheers!

Your choice of oil China-V is a very good choice !! So I for one will not argue that point !
But what I would argue is with a cheap Chinese made shit engine as most are would you benefit with the use of such a good
Brand of oil !!! IMO cooking oil would do the same job and cost a lot less as the old saying goes "you can't polish a turd ""Arguing on the Internet is like running in the Special Olympics, even if you win you're still retarded"

Corn oil burns above 350 and most engines run at about 225 degrees F, LOL anybody ever researched what synthetic oil is made from.

ChinaV thanks for your reply. I haven't ever used Spectro oil, I will look into them. For my current temperature range many oils will work. I tried switching to a 20w50 and it sounds about the same. Looks like it will be headed back to the dealer shortly. I understand it is a "cheap" motorcycle and my expectations weren't set too high, but they have already been exceeded everywhere else on the bike, other then the tapping. I wanted to buy this bike to get a taste of dual sport riding before spending a ton more money on a bike that would just sit there and collect dust.
