I have a 200cc QY which I travel 64km to work with everyday. I have managed to get it to about 130kmh but that is it! Does anybody have advice on what larger motor I can put in to make it faster and stronger. Does Qingqi make a 400cc and would it fit?

If not what else can I do to get more hp and speed out of my 200?

    Tinod,

Currently QingQi does not make a larger engine that will simply snap into thte frame. A 400cc motor would be too big for the frame and there is a question if the frame would be strong enough. They do make a 250cc motor but it's not afor sale yet and the factory says it's not a direct bolt on replacement (meaning you must modify the frame a little) to make it fit.

We hope to have more news on that engine here soon.

Without swapping the engine, you other options are new exhaust pipe (which also makes it lighter) and some jet changes in the carb. Search around on MCM and you'll find some great articles on both of these mods!

Hopefully we will test the 250cc engine soon, and we will ask the Qinqi engineers how a 200cc bike ca be upgraded to 250cc, and if it is safe and possible to do so. I'm sure that Qingqi would be happy to supply 250cc engines if a 200cc Qingqi bike can be upgraded safely and legally.

The 250 engine requires some engine mount modifications to work correctly. Not sure how easy an upgrade would be.
