    Greetings All,

Well, my wife's job offer refuses to become solidified, so we've decided to go ahead with out travel plans. Submitted my passport today for yet another China visa (Yikes! They upped the price to $190 US).

Should be arriving in Shanghai on May 24th. and will take a day to relax. I want to visit the C.J. shops in Shanghai and hopefully share a beer with any fellow riders there.

Still hoping to scare up a two or three-wheeler for a ride up near Beijing.

All the excellent ride reports I've been reading these past weeks have been getting me keyed up. So I'm hoping for some ridin'. My motto "It's a pain in the ass when it is happening, but it's Adventure Riding when you tell the story!"

    Cheers,

Dan, that's great news and it should be a great time of the year to ride.

As always, take plenty of pics!

you are welcome to ride with us. As soon as you got your visa, e-mail me - I may have found a way to get you some real papers.

    Thanks everyone,

Even if I don't find a way to secure a ride, I'll still look you all up when I arrive so we can at least swap stories and drink a few beers.

Hopefully, when its all over I'll have a ride report to post.

    Cheers,

    Dan K.

No worries, I look forward to hearing about what you uncover. I have bought my plane ticket, and I am still hopeful of riding legally (still chasing up a few of my own leads), so any information you can discover will be very gratefully received. Cheers.
