Having proved to myself that altering the air box, or removing it altogether and replacing it with a pod-type K&N style filter is most unwise on engines fitted with CV (constant vacuum) carburettors, (read discussion about this issue here, starting at post number 5):

I set about finding an improved filter element to insert inside the factory air box.

The OEM filter is a re-usable yellow lump of foam that has very poor sealing properties around its edges, tears easily and may be robbing some airflow capacity.
Its part number is 13781QMNZ000 and it costs about $26.

The airbox is the same shape inside as the Suzuki DR200 1999-2007 and therefore the Suzuki filter element will fit. I ordered one thinking it might be an improvement and guess what?.

The Genuine Suzuki OEM air filter is a re-usable yellow lump of foam...etc, etc. In fact it's exactly the same component. I have seen them both side by side.

Its part number if you ever need one and can't find the Qingqi one is:
13780-42A-01 and the cost?...yes, exactly the same $26.

I've read good things about MOOSE RACING, they have after-market filter elements for a large variety of standard air boxes, including one for the Suzuki DR200 1999-2007. The consensus is that apart from superior filtration with less resistance to airflow and a vastly improved neoprene seal around its edges, it's much stronger and might release a bit of power or at least improve driveability and throttle response.

Its part number is: M762-70-03, costs only around $21 and it's available from lots of places. You can Google the part number or the description as follows: "Moose DR200 99-07" or get it from these places:
