Does anyone know much about cylinder head porting? Assuming that one happens to know an expert who specializes in such things, price aside, what are the benefits and disbenefits of having the cylinder head ported insofar as exhaust note, engine performance, torque and reliability are concerned taking into account the motorcycle is still ridden the same style as before?

My very first conclusion is: if you are not sure what you need to do - don'y do it or you will ruin your bike's head irretrievably.
Yes, you can shave some traces of rough casting, but the real thing can do someone who knows where are the limits for that specific head.Ask me nothing - I DO NOT speak english. Really...
