I saw an add for this in my local bike shop. Was curious if anyone knew anything about it quality wise. The owner of the shop said there weren't many of them in Beijing. Price was 20,000+元 , which could mean anything below 29,999元.

    Numbers from the spec sheet.

    72x61.2mm
    249cc
    11.0:1118kW/9000rpm
    21N. m /7000rpm
    2230mmx860mmx1210mm
    1450mm
    900mm
    140KG
    6.1L
    100/80-17
    120/70-17
    110km/h

But I couldn't find it on the Chinese language version of their webpage: http://www.benellimotor.com

I would be more interested in the Bx505 shown on the website.
That is an interesting 450cc. But i guess between shown on website and market availability is a huge gap.
If someone can tell me where in China I can buy it ....

Ditto I was thinking the same ???

    44.5kW/8500(r/min)
    50Nm/5750(r/min)

110 Kg should be intresting to ride,

    bx505.jpg

Just posted the question on the web site about cost and were to buy ?

    UPDATE.

Just made a call to Benelli head office and have just been told bike is not in the country and have no idea when it will be??
Like most things in China you can see loads of nice pictures but nothing is real.

    All talk and no action

The 505 is around as show bike since 2007. The proto had a Vertemati engine. Just forget it, it's never going to be produced.

Everything in Ch!na is just for looking, scratch beneath the veneer, for nothing is as it seems. BeAware the smoke and mirrors.
Note the exclamation mark in the word Ch!na - it's there for a reason.
Note the addition of 'A' in the word be-A-ware - also there for very valid reasons.
    Nuff said...

Opps, no... one more thing... Photosh0p is Ch!na's best friend.

    There end today's lesson...

Maybe wie should Start to build a MCM Tour Enduro our self's.
400 - 500cc water cooled, good suspension, reliable, no gimmicks.
What would be an acceptable price range for it?

Sounds simple but it's almost impossible to get a custom made bike certified 'ccc',entered onto the Traffic PSB database and consequently the ability to plate the bike etc.

To buy a new KTM 390 DUKE in Indian is 18,000 RMB or even better a second hand one.
Buy a new Honda CRF 250L in Thailand cost 26.000 RMB new or even better a second hand one.

With the KTM Duke 390 gets its power from a 373cc, liquid-cooled engine that churns out a maximum power of 44bhp at 9,500rpm and a peak torque of 35Nm at 7,250rpm.

Retro fit the Duke engine and all the bits to the Honda CRF you have the making of a very good bike IMO
    Who's game on ?

Yes Doc not legal no CCC but like to dream as well

That KTM Duke 390 made me active here again. Was very interesting bike! Had a few years break from motorcycling because of two kids I got. Now I understand how it just happens that when one gets kids, one forgets motorcycles. Anyway, after reading a day about the KTM 390 I concluded that it is Sub Par KTM or High End China Bike, so to say. Henceforth I realized that my Skyteam China Bike, which is almost 10 years old and only showing slight rust in certain places, is as good as any bike I treat it to be. Thus I chose to fix small problems The Pony have now, namely leaking front fork seal, speedometer, and rear brake pads (actually the brake cylinder "piston" as well because the wear on brake pads managed to go unnoticed untill the rear wheel got kinda stuck – what I learned of that was that it is actually a good idea to visually inspect the bike at times).

A few modifications will come too, and after those almost 10 years old China Bike is a) better than KTM 390 b) more bad ass than KTM 390.
