- drain all the oil from the engine underneath oil plug, not only from filter. (maybe you know that, but better once too much than to less said) That kind of metallic filter can be re used (if now new one available) but then clean it carefully (with carb cleaner ... oh guys ... i hear you screaming :-)

- take out the spark plug and clean it up with a brass wire brush.
- when everything is ready I would turn the engine with the starter motor or by push starting but with kill switch off to get some fresh oil in the circuit before firing up.
- If you get it running change the tires. After soo long time they are gripless hard shit for sure. You don't want to crash after the first curves

Hey, so it's been a little while and I'm finally sitting down with the carb. I have never rebuilt or cleaned one of these so I've been looking at YouTube and other online resources for information. I remove the float pin be expect the floats to come out but they are held on by what appears to be a nail head. There was an image online referring to a "tang" that was in the same general area. Any advice on removing floats from this object? Pictures below!
