ok so since buying my Sinnis Apache ive been trying to source offroad knobblies to no avail... simply cant find the right sizes anywhere, need the offroad tyres as I use bike all year round and the standard nylon tyres are fooking horrid

Tried CMPO and nothing, got a pair delivered from an ebay retailer specialising in supermotos that were sold as "To fit sinnis apache" which were too big and had to be returned and they simply dont sell proper sized offroads to fit manufacturers size tyres on the sinnis - 110/70-17 and 130/70-17.

Checked in with the Michelin website and searched my tyre's sizes for offroad and the message "we source over 3000 tyres but not these ones!" although they do sell a street tyre in the 110 size thay says it can only be fitted to a 250cc or higher engine bike?? :(

cant find these buggers anywhere so please help if u can!!

also to add in - parked outside work a few nights ago during a bad storm and my near brand spanking new bike was blown over onto the opposite side of its kickstand so also got a cracking bit of damage to fix as well so trying to keep tyre price low is important!

It looks like Continental TKC 80 would have sizes for your wheels. http://www.continental-tires.com/mot...-enduro/tkc-80

120/70 to the front and 130/80 to the rear. The front tire would be 1cm too wide and 1cm too tall, but as long as it fits on your bike the little bit larger dimensions does not matter.

I myself bought Continental TKC 80s and so far I am about curiously eager to try them out on snow. They say them are M+S, which translates as Mud + Snow. We'll see about that, but at least the rubber did not feel too bad on hand and is quite soft.

I really dont get why sinnis build their bikes to a spec where u cannot replace their standard parts with upgrades due to stupid sizing!!

I think this might be my only option! the tyres look the part, good build quality and depth thanks again dude ill look at these tyres

I haven't yet installed them onto my bike, just got spikes installed on the tires yesterday. It can be that I only have time to install the tires on my bike next week.

Oh, forgot to mention, I bought the tires for Jawa 350 Type 640 :D

im trying to get them in above said sizes but the link you put for continental website doesnt seem to sell them from there? tried a few uk websites and they seem to sell the 18 and 19 inch tyres but no 17inch tyres! ! hate to say but im quickly regretting buying a 125cc and particuarlly the sinnis apache! my exhaust looks crap as its already badly rusting although its kept locked in garage and always is covered when its kept outdoors if im out driving or at work!! annoying ass bike

Why not try and ask the merchant if they can order the tires? They should be able to order them, which is good in a way that you should get rather fresh tires by then, in addition to getting the tires since small local shops probably don't want to keep rare tires sizes in stock at all. The shop from where I ordered the tires was located in Finland but the tires came from Germany

I would say don't worry too much about the looks of the bike. Much more important is that your bike works Besides I have got women with "crap" bikes, namely with MZ, Skyteam, and Jawa :D Good women don't care much how your bike looks, crap women care

Just a quick update on this, ive spoken to Continental tyres directly and they've given me contact details for a uk merchant who im also now speaking too, only issue I have now is that although they can provide tyres im looking for; http://www.motorcycletyresuk.com/pro...c-80-twinduro/

They are not in Sinnis spec sizes and I would need to go slightly larger with: Altering the sizes to 120/70-17 Front and 130/80-17 Rear this would allow me to fit Continental TKC80’s if clearance allowed.

Anyone know if clearance will be an issue? spec sizes are front 110-70/17 and rear 130-70/17 So only issue I can imagine may be with front tyre with width being 10ml bigger and this maybe causing issues fitting in without rubbage? back tyre only difference is 10ml bigger on height so surely this wouldn't be issue as loads of room for 10ml of differance I would imagine, any ideas guys?

Again I just wanna get these fitted as pain free as possible and the continental tyres arent cheap, delivered probably gonna cost about £200+ and I have 3kids and santa around the corner haha

Well, I would recommend you to accurately measure how the tire would fit. The 3.25" TKC 80 to front tire I bought did not fit on to Jawa, even though it is "rated" as the same width as the Mitas was

I paid about 60 euro of the front tire and another 60 to get spikes on it, and now it does not fit on the Jawa, though, It should fit in if I remove the front fender. Very pissed!

I Ranted, but meant to say that those width sizes Continental give appear to be for the rim or something, not the actual width of the tire. About height, dunno how they measure it. Would not be surprised if they would measure height without taking knobbies into account.

You can not know for sure, when it comes to knobbies. I would check every new tire "on the spot", can it be fitted on my bike.

thanks for reply guys, I recon ill just need to buy them and hope they fit without any issue, I would never of thought before getting a bike that it would be so difficult to change the tyres!

if they don't fit ill be giving up and sticking with the stock tyres snd just hope for the best through crappy winter weather!

its going to be front tyre with the 10mm difference in the width that could be an issue and like you say Moilami the size difference could be even greater once you take knobbies into account! ill let u know how i get on and post some pics up - either of bike with tyres on or me crying into my beard!!!
