    @Bikerdoc,

    If I ship the bike to Hangzhou north station, will the bike be banned in that area? Can I just ride out of the station?

    With the exception of Yuhang and Xiaoshan all other areas of Hangzhou city effectively ban motorcycles. The North Hanghzou Railway Station is located in GongSu district which falls within the MC banned area.

    All MC with out-of-town license plates, including Xiaoshan, Yuhang, Bingjiang districts are forbidden from being ridden North of Zhejiang Da Dao (including a whole host of intersecting roads which effectively means the whole of HZ city). Link

    映輝物流 Ying Hui Logistics Company based in Shanghai currently recommended via BMW MC Owners Club (WeChat) for shipping motorcycles within PRC.

    映輝物流 (Ying Hui Wu Liu [logistics company])
    上海闵行区培昆路328号清飞物流园B1-B4
    Qing Fei Business Park, B1-B4, 328 PieKun Lu, MinHang, Shanghai
    tel: (021) 64580905
    mobile: 134 820 61118

    Fotenote:

    On February 23rd approx 200-300 Ch!na BMW MC Owners Club members will be travelling from the mainland to Chiang Mai, Thailand for a MC race series held end of February. Some of these club members will be transporting their motorcycles via:
    映輝物流 (Ying Hui Wu Liu [logistics company]) for 元3600 return (due to the volume of motorcycles being shipped).

    I spoke with Ling Hui Logistics Company Thurs 17th Dec, for an estimate to transport my GS to Kunming. Greater number of motorcycles would reduce the cost per unit.

    Estimates:
    Shanghai depot -> Kunming 元2000-2500 [one way]
    Ningbo -> Shanghai depot -> Kunming 元4000 (approx.) [one way]

    Here is the picture of my bike being sent off. This fella actually got his hands covered in gas while proving that I had indeed emptied every single drop from the tank. Also, the side boxs needed to be searched thouroughly.

    We saw the Star trek enterprise building today. What a cool experience. The news paper articles do not give it its due. Its a huge facility that is developed like star fleet. People live there, work there, eat there. They all share the same facilities despite rank or position. The shuttlebay hanger is a diving pool. They have horse riding , a lake to paddle around and a community garden. Plus a golf course and driving range. Inside they have a theatre, barbeque, and of course KTV. But my favorite part was the ferraris. Two of them. Not hidden in a garage but set in view of all the employees. They seemed more like eye candy than toys for driving. It was successful communism. All 900 employees get to feel like they own a ferrari. Everyone gets a pony. Everyone lives on a golf course. Rank and wage were meaningless. It felt like a huge family. Easily the coolest place I've been to in China. We all have seen our fair share of frustrations here but when we see it working, we should celebrate it. Today I saw the product of someone who reveres communism and loves startrek and was able to make both succeed together.

    The guy that writes the programs will not get paid the same as the guy that cleans the toilets. I bet they use cloaking devices when they raid servers of other companies for new products, then use tractor beams to pull it in.
