Hi guys. I'm looking to change the exhaust on my ZSX. I'm currently still running the factory exhaust and to be honest I've never liked it, and it's starting to go rusty (the bike is only 18 months old). So I'm looking to improve and maybe lightly modify the bike so it's more bearable and enjoyable to ride while I still have it, starting with a nice new Stainless exhaust and a proper can.
As far as I'm aware, there is no direct stainless replacement exhaust for the ZSX (still find that strange after more than two years since it's release and is supposed to be their 'flagship' model), but there are some SS exhausts that will fit it, but I can't seem to find out (not through a lack of trying) which ones will fit and which won't.

So with that in mind, can anyone please advice if this system .... http://www.chinesemotorcyclepartsonl...php?i=KS125-24 .... will fit the ZSX???

    Thank you.

    Mike.

As I see, exhaust on the ZSX is painted, so, while you are looking for a new, shiny exhaust , you can open stock can, do some mods, close back, and paint with heat resistant paint. Maybe you'll like what you've got for free.

BTW, how's been holding little farter so far?

Hi Zorge. That's an interesting idea, and if I were keeping the stock exhaust I might just have tried it. But like I said I've never liked the look of it, I have put up with it for over 18 months now and have been so looking forward to getting a good Stainless system for it with a good Can.
But it's been very difficult during that time finding out from anywhere exactly which Stainless down pipes will fit the ZSX since they didn't make a specific one. But again, I have just learned from Llexeter that they are now making specific Stainless steel exhaust systems for the ZSX model and that they're expecting them in stock in a month or so.
And since my bike is off the road for the winter, and won't be back on the road again for a few months, I will just wait a bit longer and order one of the new specific Lextek systems for it, during which time I will re jet the carburettor and remove the EGR valve. Hopefully it will run better and not be quite as dangerously under powered as it was.

This looks pretty good I think. It's the first one I've seen modded in any way.

Mike, as I can see, exhaust pipe have only three not to extreme bends and four with bit more serious angle, but with big radius. I think that every tube bender in your town can do this job for you. This pipe doesn't have to be one-piece - in order to avoid additional headache for you and your tube bender guy, you can join few sections to get one tight and neatly fitted pipe.

IMO, you can fit literally any exhaust can you can find/like, even second hand one from 600 or 1000 cc bikes. If the damn things is too open and sounds annoying with only 125 cc engine, you can stuck in some sort of homemade dB killer and do some experiments to get acceptable result.

I believe that such exhaust system would cost less than 170 quid they ask for "Lextek".
