No, Hall effect is different on Earth's southern hemisphere comparing to Hall effect on northern hemisphere, so maybe your bike is fitted with northern hemisphere pick-up.

One more detail that crossed my mind... Pick-up must to be some 0,3-0,5 mm (check correct value in some manual) from this... lump on a rotor.
Ask me nothing - I DO NOT speak english. Really...

And this is the round type CDI?
I think this is what my bike should be even if colour a if wire aren't the same but same connection points etc

Best test tomorrow to try figure out something for definite ! :(

This tells you were the wires go for a 6pin

...how to test and correct values but did read 0.9ohms is ok on something...[/QUOTE]
    AC-CDI

    pink/yellow *** We don't care it (read the image above = to Reg/rec )***
Blue / white <-> green = pickup | seems OK but what's the voltage ?
    What's the reading of AC-source[black/red] (ohm/ volt)?
    Dc-cdi

    Hi
I can't make head or tails from the pictures - Black with red wasn't connected at all so can't test till it,
It's all a bit of a mess and I'm not clear yet what is what.
Only 4 wires from the stator where connected to the bike - NOT black with red tho
All wires are poorly connected and I really need to redo the complete connector with new terminals and get rid of the bad joins.

Black with red has no connections to any other wire
It flashes 160ohms if you touch it to the metal casing only for a moment

That would go to the Rectifier/regulator to the battery in a DC set up. It only goes to the CDI for AC. The pic I linked to is for an AC type.
If you only have one wire connected to the two prong on the CDI it is a DC type.

Ok I'll check that - then I can clearly see what is what
But the ohms readings seem good or bad?

No actually, that makes me think it is bad, you should check for continuity between phases and get nothing to ground.
