Since I was this succesful in changing the stator/pick up coil, I start to look into the digital tachometer's problem again.

Needle stays at 0 since I got the bike, sometimes jumps a little, but I think thats only when the bike is shaking...

Can you tell me THIS bike's source of the impulse for the tachometer? As I read it's different for certain bikes.

Also: how can I test this source to rule it out as a culprit?
Also: if it's ok, how can I test the very end of the wire goihng inside the tach clock? Check the voltage in it, or how?

Source = Pickup's + (don't trust ANY color code) coz u said that horrible story in http://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/showthread.php?8058

Check continuity (ohm) | current flow (amp | DON'T check this if knows nothing | a "short" can cause fire ) ...

    Any pals know these nearby?

That's the CDI there on the picture?
I have a new pickup fitted since 3 days, and a new CDI is coming via mail-

So I presume if I fit the CDI and still no rev count, then either the wire loom, or the clock itself is faulty :(

Just missed a 27pound ebay auction for a complete sinnis stealth clockset...

No pals near me anywhere XD
I can check voltage, and current flow confidently, without damaging the multimeter ^^
but I need to learn to check continuity aswell- didn't looked it up until now.

By the way: my ignition-off parasitic drain started from 7.62 Milliamper with the old stator coil, now it's 0.38 mA with the new. - still bigger than 0.1 mA :( could the dead rev counter cause the rest of the leakage?
