This is a better business model.
http://www.motogb.co.uk/
I get a kick out of what they are doing with the LML scooters.
I really do not see much of a product line out of Cfmoto for motorcycles, possibly in few years they may, but right now they basically offer two versions of the 650 twin, the NK15O, then the V-night and they seemed to have dropped the Leader 150?

#26 Re: CFMOTO05-07-2016, 03:50 PMbut right now they basically offer two versions of the 650 twin,
2. ABS 650NK
3. 650NK 2016
4.650 TR
5.650 TR ABS
6. 650 TR-G
7. 650 MT (End of 2016)
With a total of 15 bikes on the list and you need to add the 300 JetLux (250cc) + 650 MT (End of 2016 )

At the moment, yeah, however, with the 400 on it's way, and a 125 on the way, makes for a decent progression, if, they get the customer loyalty. In the UK, and probably in the rest of europe as well, due to the current licensing restrictions on younger riders, 125's have more of a shelf life now, as they can't be binned straight after passing your test. A1 license
250-400cc again, quite a useful range, as VED is lower, and, and they fall neatly into the A2 license category, as can the restricted 650's
Then, for those that have reached the full A license, they can ride any size bike legally, and this is the category the 650's, and larger displacement, if made, can serve.
Licensing used to be so much easier over here .
CBT - Full licence.
Oh well, bureaucrats will finally fully rule the world !! :(

Yeah and corporations have the most influence over bureaucrats.
KTM is probably not interested in CFMOTO beyond access to the Chinese market. They already have low cost production out of India. Not even sure if in an alternative reality where they could own CFMOTO out right would they be, maybe, but that is not an option today. It is not likely to see a co-branded model, if you do it be most likely limited to sales in China only, I imagine something like Loncin and BMW, however is there any evidence that CFMOTO will begin making engines for KTM, currently the KTM assembled in China models all have imported engines.
I believe that all the foreign interest in China are waiting to go independent, they really prefer not to have partners.
Currently in most export markets the Chinese are instigating distribution networks of which they will eventually buy up. But not for a while right now they are just feeding them as OEM’s, but eventually they will purchase the biggest and best.
I believe the best approach to building a network in the UK was 125cc models, CFMOTO missed that opportunity if they had the KTM 125 engine they could rule that segment and in that you can be sure KTM is not going to be handing it to them.

05-17-2016, 04:19 PMHi
I know what you mean, but I didn't KTM market CFMoto bikes, more use the distributor/importer of KTM. If that makes sense? Also, apparently, WK bikes are to start selling Euro 5 CFMoto 650's later this year?
Cheers
Tony
