Posting this for a friend. Please don't PM me about it. I have nothing to do with the sale. Contact Gordon directly if interested or if you have questions... see below

Excellent Yamaha XJR 400 is for sale for 12,500 yuan. This 1994 vintage bike has been well maintained with oil changes and regular chain lubrication, etc. Under 25K kilometers on tight, fast motor. Many new parts and excellent rubber! The bike is a joy to ride, with lightweight handling and solid, muscular stance. Only reason for selling the machine is relocation. Contact gmanster@hotmail or text 185 1508 2740.

    Hey guys,

I know Gordon as well. I think he's reduced the price of the bike to 10,000. He needs to sell it quickly.
It's a great bike, not for everyone ... but it certainly has more than enough power to keep up on jaunts to Huairou and the mountains.

I can vouch for him that it's had regular oil changes and a few things changed to increase the reliability of the bike, as i helped him order many of the parts & talk with the mechanic. It's had a bit of rewiring done recently which fixed a niggly feeling that prevented the battery from changing properly.

It's a nice bike, looks good and turns heads.
I'm sure Gordon can make a good deal with you if you decide you want this bike

just wondering how do you get around the compulsory scrapping date on a "vintage" bike?

Seems strange to me calling a 90's bike "vintage", but, This Is China!
    In China: 2013 Benelli 600gs
In Canada: 1980-'85 Shovester (under construction), 1983 kz440

The bike has been sold. Billeuze, I have no good answer to your question... This bike is not street legal, FYI, and I have never heard of any way to overcome the mandatory scrap date...

Legally you can't get over the scarp date but what I can see locally is all the guys do is clone it up with a new "Chinese Look A Like" not for me I just into engine swaps but then again I am not a "faceless rider" with no mates.
