#1 Shineray XY250GY-2 MX Exhaust Upgrade10-24-2016, 10:27 AM
There is alot of hp/kw to gain threw an aftermarket exhaust system. So being a China Moto this makes things very hard in this area.
So what i have done is bought a couple of exhaust pieces and im going to pass them and the bike onto my cousin who owns a car exhaust shop. (Im pretty lucky).
So what i did was take off the old exhaust.

Now i studied this for hours and came up with that this looks very much like a CRF450 front header like this.

I bought from ebay for $180.00 delivered.
I new my frame was a ktm type so i bit the bullet and bought a lexx tail pipe.

So by the end of the week it should be back together and finally a dyno run.

So the front header pipe needs cutting and shutting and the tail pipe needs a mid pipe that will get built and the tail pipe was $344 delivered.

The above shown is nothing but a pipe with diameter larger than the bended front pipe. No other interior in the muffler. It has a nice dark sound and especially with my 300cc kit it helps to breath freely.
Surprisingly the fuel consumption didn't increase

In TaoBao you can find the necessary parts. At the moments seems to be a shortage of 300cc heads in the market. So they got very expensive. I have still a modified 250cc head. I increased the inner diameter a little by lathe and revised the cooling channel by grinding to smoothen the flow. But its still unused in my garage as I have a 300cc head on already. But I would love to try it out.
