    Hi guys,

    One week into owning my new 2016 Apache 250 a badged QingQi QM250GY-B(A).
    With just 100 miles on the clock from new, I parked up after work today and all was OK. An hour later I thought about a ride to the shop but when I started the bike the FI light on the digital dash starting flashing red.

    The standard manual doesn't even list the FI light on the dash.

    Can anyone tell me if its safe to use the bike like this?

    No replies so far = no riding this evening. I'll call my dealer tomorrow morning & report back.

    Suzuki scan tool - is this the EFI version QM250GY-F? Thought that's the only efi version and older are carbs

    Yes, I made a mistake with the model number - it is EFI.

    Update: Tried it this morning and can only see a faint red light whilst bike is parked in the garage. This is normal as the led isn't illuminated, just reflecting.
    Called dealer: (1) yes, its the new late 2016 EFI fuel injection model, and (2) seeing the dim red reflection is normal. (3) It is the fuel injection system fault light and will light up to and incredible bright red if a fault is found, so it would be noticeable even when riding in the brightest sun.

    I'll post a photo of the dash on here as it may help others in the future. EFI dash photos seem rare on the Internet!

    They're a bit of a crappy basic or possibly just scooter efi - if bike runs fine then no major as the system is rather primitive

    The big block thing you see where the carb would be is the all in one ecu map sensor and I don't think there's an engine temp to that ecu, did clean n do some service on one of these bikes and yeah pretty simple. Just carb the thing if worst comes to worst

    Is there an interface for mapping/decoding software, or is it just not worth looking at?

    Not clearly worked that out, I bought n tried Chinese shit but obd 2 k line thing didn't work and I've not tried my Delphi k line adaptor to that bike yet yet I could do if I had the bike and ran the Suzuki or scooter software blah blah
    Runs ? Ride! It's cheap Chinese and stop looking at the minor details cause that's headaches

    Pics from my bike, just for future reference, should anyone search this post:

    Sinnis Apache 250 (EFI model, 2016) - QingQi QM250GY-F

    The dash has analogue rev counter on the left and a digital panel on the right.
    The middle panel has lights to show current gear selected (top - showing green, N neutral in my pic) ,turn signals and a high beam light at the bottom
    The digital panel has a speedometer, trip meter and milage reading, as well as a clock and petrol gauge. The odometer can be reset by the button on the far right that also switches modes between trip/total miles and clock/clock setup.

    The offending FI red light is in the bottom left - its not on, just reflecting. It comes on at full intensity for a few seconds during the EFI start up check when the ignition key is first turned on then dims to that shown in the pic. My dealer confirmed its the Fuel Injection warning light that goes off after initial auto checking.
