Motrac are a motorcycle manufacturer based in Taizhou, Zhejiang province. The company has focused primarily on smaller offerings in the 125cc and eBike categories. Last year at the CIMA Chongqing show they displayed various models including a v-twin 800cc cruiser concept, and a adventure tourer styled MG500 (491cc DOHC Loncin sourced/manufactured in-line two cylinder engine) the engine looks similar to the CB500 engine but are not the same internally (491cc versus the Honda 471cc). The MG500 491cc engine has a 76mm bore x 55.1mm stroke, versus the Honda CB500 67mm bore and 66.8mm stroke, although the power and torque figures at 47bhp (35kW) and 32ftlb (43Nm) at 8500rpm is the same as that achieved by the CB500 engine. MG500 weight is claimed at 197kg dry, the bike has a full colour TFT display and LED lights and is to be Euro4 compliant.

The MG500 styling seems to take styling cues from a well known Italian marque - having a striking resemblance to a Ducati Multistrada MTS1200.
The chassis combines a steel trellis front section with a cast aluminium rear, an upside-down fork, radial callipers and an aluminium swing-arm.

The same engine and possibly other components will be found in a naked version soon to be released under the model variant MT500.
