A Visual review on the 250cc V-Storm

Please bear in mind this review is "just" a "visual" and should not be taken that the new V-Storm is a bad bike?.

I got a WeChat message from the local dealer saying we have the new V-Storm in.

With great expectation, I hurry down to the shop to see what all the fuss is about.
As I approach the shop the Wee is sitting outside in all her glory.

Dam that looks good I said to myself.

The V-Storm was designed and manufactured in China, with the view to sell to the domestic market.
I would imagine there have plans to export the bike as well?

On a careful inspection of the bike, these are items I was not too keen on.
Once again these points are just "MY" opinion and not a review on how the bike run, handle or with the performance.
You need to own one for that with seat time, to which in my case will never happen.

LIST......

1. Original 2 sides and top box are double lined so the internal space is very much resicted.
Was unable to fit a full face helmet in either the side or top box.

2. Headlights are very poor with the brightness.

3. The space between the dash and either side of the head bearing is very exposed and IMO you could get a lot of road dirt and wind.
Also, I notice an important electronic item fitted in this space which may be to exposed IMO.

4. Handel bars are not a Tapered style which IMO will bend with the first fall.

5. WTF is that gear level see the picture, not seen that on the big brother before.

6. The side boxes frames are not that strong and I could see potential problems here.

So there you have it "MY LIST"

Looks can be deceiving and this is the case with the 250cc V-Storm.

It is clear to me aspects of the bikes build and design are "CHINESE" and if the bike is exported then I believe most western markets will question the Design & Build.

Other members may consider these point to be of no importance when buying, well good luck and I hope you enjoy your new V-Storm.
