    Hi Joe
And welcome to MCM. My advice would be to take your BMW bike for your travels in the EU, that way at least you will get home?

Hi Prince666 I like a challenge the BMW gets boring , maybe carry the Raptor on the BM instead of the box, but let's face it a reliable bike is a well prepared & maintained bike, Tell me what are the main issues with a Lochin engine or the bike regards Joe

    Well Joe
The Lochin are not bad engines, but there is more to a motorbike than just the engine.
I am sure if you are hands on type with motorbikes then you will be fine, I am sure.

    Hi Joe

Welcome, your bike has brought back fond memories. I had the V-Raptor for 125 for 5 years, and the good news for you is, even though it was stored outside, and ridden in the bad uk winter weather, it didn't deteriorate to dust. The only real niggles I got landed with on occasion, the side stand switch (I disconnected it), the HT cable (only a problem in the very wet - so I replaced it) and finally some of the connections didn't hold up too well in the really wet weather, but, as you've been looking at your electrical connections anyhow, hopefully, you're all sorted on that front anyhow :-)
