Saw a new bike at the dealer with 500cc parallel twin (HP?). The first impression was quite good.
Weldings looking professional, plastic parts fit well together. Comes with two USB ports + a 12V ports. Windscreen can be easy adjusted over a range of about 12 to 15cm. Seat height 780mm with slim seat front for shorter legs. It has a solid cooler guard.
Sound is a bit Cola can style, but with different muffler....
Two points that I didn't like are sensor and cable for rear brake light are placed in downward position (risk for rip off) and the engine guard is IMO too thin AL sheet metal.
The bike is slimmer than the TRK502.
Weight info missing but when I sit on I feel acceptable.
    ABS version is 32800RMB,
ABS version incl. full set of AL paniers and complete surrounding crash bars (GS ADV) is 38800RMB.
Its plateable in BJ (have seen there two with B plate)
    Photos coming .....

Hm... So this is the engine allegedly inspired by "Honda's" twin?

So, any info who in fact makes those engines?
Ask me nothing - I DO NOT speak english. Really...

    Low HP I think 40?.
Seen the bike as well Not too impressed with the bike.
Think the TRK 502 or the CFmoto MT a better option IMO
Just rode the X001 ShuBen over in your area ?

    from http://amcn.com.au/editorial/motrac/

The MG500 is the most convincing. It’s a good-looking adventure bike with a hint of Ducati Multistrada in its styling. The chassis combines a steel trellis front section with a cast aluminium rear, plus an upside-down fork, radial calipers and an aluminium swingarm – a specification that looks good on paper, too.

The engine is familiar. Externally it looks like Honda’s CB500 motor. However, the internal dimensions reveal significant differences including a larger 491cc capacity (471cc on the Honda) and a different bore and stroke ratio. The 76mm bore and 55.1mm stroke are extremely oversquare – the sort of dimensions you’d expect to see on a high-revving superbike. Despite this, claimed power – 35kW at 8500rpm – is identical to the CB500, as is the 43Nm of torque.

It's called the "GRASSLANDS SKYVIEW " (Just North of Zhangiakou ) highest point was about 2000 meters
You can start from either end.
Good road with some great senic views and loads of places to stop for food, hotels, Horse riding ATV and UTV.
BUT..... loads of cars if you go at weekends and hoilerday time.
Interesting demanding road which is about 100 km long.
    Here are the GPS points.

    41.237362 115.40003

    41.015084 114.73588

The last GPS numbers is we're most people entry because there is a toll road exit point.
    G207.
Now interestingly the X001 goes further at this point So look at the map.
You need to go about 200 meters down the road and turn back onto the X001.
About 20km along this road is a very big viewing platform which is worth a visit.
From here the X001 goes further, and looks just as nice as the rest but with a lot lest traffic.
Won't post picture on your bike thread without your permission.

X001 IS WORTH A LOOK IMO.

For you and your bike it a great road, because loads of dirt roads you can explore just of the main X001.
Just wished I had my CRF the other day.lol
