I guess the market is big enough now to find buyers who spend that money on the bike.
Especially when its a proofen brand and hood built qualify.
I heard there are people buying RS500R for much too much money 😜

I think any bike purchase in China involves disengaging the brain somewhat if you are to accept the ludicrous prices of bikes here. Otherwise you can't buy anything. I agonised over the lack of value for money in motorcycles here before making a purchase. Turns out you just have to bend over and cop it sweet if you want to ride

What are Zongshen RX3's going for in the motherland? The only advantage I see of the X300 is its slightly better powerplant. And the RX3 comes pre-farkled.

I think the pricing issue is not a killer argument nowadays as there are certain number of local bikes in the market that are maybe not high end or state of the art technology but rideable and therefore good to go.
For street I would consider the YBR/YS250 Yamahas, the full Shineray XY400/440cc series and higher up to CFMoto.
For ADV it starts with RX3, X5, over MG500 to TRK502 and up to CF650MT.
For real Enduro fun you could use X2 (street legal) or pure offroad Asiawings LD/X250 (450) or A7 NC250 (which has good critics in the chinese community)
For Cruiser I hear the Benda BD400 is acceptable.
The price range we talk here starts from about 18k RMB up to 50k RMB (@Prince: correct me? on the CfMotos?)
Yes, there might be some cheap parts to be replaced and intensive maintenance to be done.
BUT , I would pick one of the a.m. bikes and care it well instead of walkingSWM RS500R, R1200GS LC

Hi ShuBen
If you want to tour with the Cfmoto 650MT then you either buy the MT (ABS Version) with the Shad rear side Boxes .
Which IMO are great boxes but just stick out too far at the rear, RRP is 44.800 RMB
Link .....https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm...cket=11#detail
Or you can buy the MT without the side rear boxes but with ABS for 42.800 RMB or without ABS as cheap as 38.800 RMB
Link...https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm...cket=11#detail
I decided not to have the Shad and go with the new CFmoto Aulliummim rear boxes cost 2800 RMB
The end price doesn't end there as we all know need to pay "TAX", plate and insurance'
Tax is normal about 10% of the purchase price.
My "invoice price" was 20.000 RMB but I still had to pay 2300 RMB.
This loophole may not work at every Tax office.
Insurance was 450 RMB
Plate 60 RMB?
For me, I like many "extras"
1. Taller screen 300 RMB.
2. Crash Bars 850 RMB.
3. 4 X LED lights, not cheap shit cost 850 RMB
4. New CF long gear lever, foot pegs, mounting bracket, side stand foot. 600 RMB.
5. USB charger 35 RMB
6. light switches 2 number 150 RMB.
7. Phone (GPS) holder. 90 RMB
8. seat cover 80 RMB
9. Rear side boxes crash bars. ( used and modified TR-G bars) 180 RMB
Well that the best I can remember
Total cost with my MT set up with all the bits was 51.500 RMB.
I stand corrected.
The bike with the full set up IMO is spot on for Touring around China,
Apart from the road tyres that came on the bike, you are good to go.
Fitted a set of Pirelli MT60 (Dam what good tyres) I can say you can hit what every Chinese road has to throws at you.
Downside with the MT60 there don't last long (0nly 7500 KM )
Now on a set of Pirelli Trail II.
Now you have the full cost
Sorry for the under price off 50K.
sometimes you just forgot what you spend when you get a new bike. lol

If I may add 1 more bike to the list that ShuBen has posted and this is based on what I have seen riding about China over the last few years is the.
Suzuki GW250 of better is the GW250F?
Many Touring bits are available on Taobao for this bike and it looks like the bike of choices for many Chinese riders.
