    The Scrambler from Motorhead Group caught my eye. No website, no information. 10 years later and nothing changes, when will these companies learn... sigh.

    Not all factories use third party trading companies, some have their own division or department.
    It is a different business model they use and it seems to have served them reasonably well.
    Let’s say a company operates as in sells its own brand in some country, they may use a trading company or they may be purchasing direct or both for certain products.
    Factories may sell direct or through a trading company or both, its all different they strive to make as many and sell as many as they can.
    The industry grew as big as it could and then shrunk by unprecedented numbers in the industry globally, yet they endure, not many have closed.
    There are lots of brands globally and many are now selling mixtures of various products out of various factories some associated and some not in varying degrees.
    Some are actively taking over, Zongshen is the most aggressive in doing so, many brands now sell their products and in growing percentages, so the competition is at the brand level. Zongshen is planting its goods into brands and basically taking over, they are offering better and with better support.
    Some are defending or fending them off by offering more to keep it share of the market, which is floor space at retail.
    Looking at goods in markets they are not available is a waste of time unless you have floor space and consumer demand to rotate it.
    This scrambler may eventually follow the Teken to the market, with a 125cc as it is highest in demand in the EU. It may end up in some South American markets with the 250cc version.
    The Chinese ability to market direct is a matter of international marketing, which requires language and market knowledge. Everyone has the same propensity to see everything through their own perspective, not that many can see objectively and communicate effectively across cultural and legal differences of nations.

    The Chinese may know they are limited in all this, none of them are bidding to buy Ducati. They may know they might mess them up? Not be able to keep them going, not able to add any value?
    Its not only that their high production units are their bread and butter, they must move very slowly upward in markets and not all will.
    Zongshen will for sure they are doing it all correctly, they will be the first truly and likely to eventually be the first brand internationally marketed, they will eventually buy up the retail or just demand the brand name be used?
    If a company only sells their brand why not? Eventually they will have a full offering from entry level, through midrange to high powered high end expensive models.
    These small make to order factories may endure but what they sell will always be sold as they are today, it may be the new normal?

    MJH... That's a a good summary of the C-Moto industry and points out why it continues to fail. My observation of the Motorhead Group advertisement, why place an add in an industry publication (a really good one) and then offer two website URL's that don't work? Here's my advice to every Chinese corporation. Spend $50 and get a proper URL with a company website. NO alibaba shit and no 163.com email addresses. At least try to act like a real corporation.
