09-23-2017, 04:37 AMA lot of Chinese came here by own motorcycles. And here's interesting thing: I saw a lot more Motrac's MG500 than Benelli's TRK502. Most of them on Sichuan plates.
Somehow Motrac seems to be more popular

Motrac's MG500
Don't wast your time with this bike.
IMO its the bottom end of the ADV bikes made in China.
Again IMO only 2 Chinese made bikes are worth a look.
1.Benelli TRK 502.
2 CFmoto 650 MT.
Somehow Motrac seems to be more popular"Arguing on the Internet is like running in the Special Olympics, even if you win you're still retarded"

09-23-2017, 10:04 AMPrince, there will be strong competitor to 650MT by Loncin next year. One page before I posted few pics.
It's 17" rear and 19" front, KYB front fork, prolink on rear, 650cc single, 198 dry weight.

The engine is used in the BMW F650.
Which is a good start, so please if all the other bits are as good as the engine then i be a very happy person to add it as No 3 ?
I would even consider buying one.
But untill it's out on the market, untill I can see it, untill we know the retail price, it's just all pie in the Sky IMO.
But it could be a very nice PIE lol"Arguing on the Internet is like running in the Special Olympics, even if you win you're still retarded"

I posted pics of the Loncin 650 in a different form factor 7 years ago. How many of those did they sell in China? The Loncin 650 ADV will most likely meet the same fate and never amount to anything. Don't get your hopes up with that single cylinder, under-powered, buzzy 650. It's not that great when its bolted to 200 kilos of motorcycle. Just like the BMW models, the 650 single is a good starter bike, but it leaves you wanting more compared to any twin or inline 4.
This was my daily driver in China for 7 years and almost 85,000 km's. I never liked it, but it helped me keep the mileage off the V-Strom. A lot of MCM members rode this bike when visiting me in Dongguan. Chinese always loved it because it had the BMW roundel on it.

One other member (BikerDoc) has the BMW 650 GS and I have rode behind him for many 1000s km .
Even with either my 650 TR-G or my 650 MT both are twins, I found it hard work chasing him down.
Yes it a bit low on HP but it is only 179 kg and has loads of low end grunt.
I do respect you views as you have been a owner for many KM.
Would I buy one, YES but not at the going list price.
As I said as regards to the new ADV.
When I can see and smell it then I will make a further judgement.
Untill then like you think it's all pie in the Sky.
BikerDoc bike below.

The above bike is up for sale.
As ChinaV pointed out the LX 650 was first seen back in 2011.

It well my be that one at the show this year is a updated version.
If you take the BMW 650 GS ,CFmoto TR-G and the MT
Get all bike road ready.
Look at the power to weight ratios
The MT is best with the big fat TR-G next with the BMW very very close behind the TR-G.Last edited by prince666; 09-23-2017 at 04:51 PM.

The BMW 650 GS was a definite step up from the Funduro model I owned. From 60-110 Km/h the thing pulls like a freight train, which is the sweet spot for most China riding. A good rider on the 650 can be VERY fast on a twisty road at those speeds. Get on a road with long sweepers and speeds in the 120-160 km/h range, and any twin is going to walk all over the 650 single. My major doubts about the Loncin 650 is that these bikes never seem to make it into mass production for the China market and I think their relationship with BMW doesn't allow them access to a lot of other countries (could be wrong). I'm also a little skeptical about the weights. The BMW 650 was 175 kg dry and 195 kg with a full tank (14L). I doubt the Loncin is really 198kg dry and it's going to be even more piggy once the oil and gas is in it.
