Well. With just 4600 miles on the clock........and the Tr will be off to the scrap yard......when I get one to collect it.
Rang about a new leg today...... £250+P&P+new set of fork oil seals it comes to nigh on £300.
More than I can afford. .....gutted really.

    Hi guys & Phil
Yes I am still running the Tr...............I still have a clicking (occasionally) sound from the fork area........cannot find what is causing the sound.
So I just live with it.

Nice to here from you Tweet, still riding my TR, 11850 miles now, I have a clonk, if I go over a speed bump a bit to quick, not fast, just a bit quicker than normal which is pretty slow, I am sure it is head bearings.

    Hi Phil
I replaced headstock bearings with taper bearings.....new wheel bearings too.....a friend (who is more knowledgeable about bikes than me) stripped the fork legs down....minimal wear on bushes....and put new oil seals in..
I have checked everything I can think of.... calipers..... rotors....even looked for loose components on the front of the engine....radiator.....any bracketry....all seem fine.
But as said I still get the clicking......wher as before it was a loud Clunk.........so on that assumption it must be one if the parts I replaced or adjusted.
So iam happy to use it with just the occasional click..
I am still only on just over 5,000 miles!

Does it only do it when riding or can you hear it, bouncing it up and down, not going to comment on what it might be but it would be nice to hear it if we ever get to meet up again.

    Hi Phil....
It only happens when on the move............compress the suspension......nothing.
Rock the bike back and forwards on the brakes.........nothing.
Just a occasional click over bad road surfaces..
But as said....it is at a point where it only happens occasionally...........so I can live with that...........but the loud clunking I could not.
Still plenty of summer left......who knows...may get to meet up somewhere sometime.
