Maybe a small question, but a useful one :)

I've worn out my first pinlock in that there's no seal anymore. It seems like it fits poorly and barely has any tension on it.
Before I buy a new one, I want to ask how they usually wear out.

How long should a pinlock layer last?
Does it usually change shape and lose fit?

If the pinlock visor fits well on the normal visor the only wear out are cracks vor scratches in the layers. But it depends very mich how well it fit. I had good and poor experienes. And the poor once habe been on real expensive helmet ....

You should use another type of insert for your helmet. I've been using WeePro for 9 days right now. I put it on my Yema helmet. I'm thinking you might want to give it a try.

I have had the same pinlock visor in my helmet for 2 years with no sign of deterioration, discoloring or cracking. I love it and would never go back to anything else. My next helmet will most definitely have a pinlock visor.

That's good to know... I'll have to think more about this.

Ok... that is definitely the kind of information I need.

With everyone's comment that it doesn't tend to wear out unless damaged,
maybe it is indeed the lens.
I wonder if the lens or even the outside helmet shape is changing over time.

I guess maybe I can see which one of the lens or pinlock is cheaper and buy that first and see how it goes
