    Hi everyone,

I will be riding most Wednesday afternoons, beginning April 18. I haven't decided on any permanent time or meet-up spot yet. I'm eager to see who would like to participate and how things form over the season.

But for this Wednesday, the details are:

Meet time: 1:00pm. Kickstands up at 1:30pm. We'll return to Beijing before dark.
    Meet location: 中国石油(龙潭加油站) https://j.map.baidu.com/DandP

The pace will depend on who joins. I tend to run a spirited pace in the curves and very relaxed pace through villages/congested areas/interchanges. We wait for slower riders. Everyone is responsible for their own safety, legality and petrol. A small group is ideal; I don't like riding in groups with more than five or six bikes. If by some miracle, a dozen Beijing motorcyclists want to join, we will split into two groups.

The area you are starting from I stayed last year for 10 days and rode most of the area due west.

Shame you leave so late and not have a full day of riding.

To show other riders what the roads and scenic views are like I put together a "PICTURE VIDEO"

The pictures don't do the area justice. The video is only 6 mins long but with over 100 pictures, it the best and quickest way without loading 100s of pictures on MCM.

If you are thinking about riding the area take a look at the video.
    Enjoy?

Thanks for the slideshow... I recognize many of the places! Yeah, I happen to have every Wednesday afternoon off, so that's when I get to ride. Kiddo still in school, wife still at work. Weekends are more family time, but I do get out occasionally on weekends. I just got back from Miaofengshan, one other rider and me. Very relaxed pace today. It was smoggy, so not the most pleasant weather, but at least we got out for a few hours. :)

I hope to see some more folks joining as the season progresses!
