    Hello;

I recently Joined this forum to learn more about asia wing compnay as itself and how Good/Bad experience people have with its product.
I got a 450cc Dirt Bike called LX450 for aerage to large Offroad Trips in Himalayan Mountainss,
I already have a Zongshen RX3 which is more of a Highway Hi-speed Cruiser (120KMH~130KMH) is "too" fast for the highways we have around here so yeas RX3 is a champ on these speeds.
But RX3 had a pretty tough time on offroads where I took it, it did well, far better then small scooties, mopeds and smaller bikes, but yes it was behind and struggling where dirt/ daul sports machines were fine.
So I knew I needed a second machine, and I wanted to test Chinese machine again as Rx3 did well, very well actually.

I took it to the offroads, and it did very well, so I ordered parts from AsiaWing factory and today I got package full of goodies...

I am not sure if this machine is good for using as a dual purpose Off-road adventure machine or not, I do think this machine is made specifically for competition purpose as by little research people told me its a replica of some 2006~ ??? version of Honda CRF450 and Chinese put lights and indicators to it to make it road worthy as well - I am not sure if it is exact replica or there are some difference, and or if it does require strict maintenance schedules or not, according to what every I have found online is that it would need an oil change after at-least 1500KM and valve/shim clearance at around 5~6k of kilometer in general, would definitely need cleaning of filter/chain lubrication after heavy offroading...

So far these are fine with any other daul sports machines as well.... so its fine with this too... I would post any good or bad points I would face while using a Competition type machine as a dual sports..

As long as you are on top if maintenance and replace cheap crap parts with proper alternatives it will do it.
My special advise is change chain and wheel bearings to real good ones (D.I.D., NSK, FAG)
For dual sport and longer trips I would change the sprocket ratio to get more speed at lower RPM and check what option like other gas tank or range extender tank I could find. Finally I'd add a luggage rack for keeping soft bags at good position.

    Agreeed; I switched to

    1 - 14 X 46 from 13 X 48
2 - I changes oils at 1000km cycle ( is it OK for this bike ?) becuase it is impossible to count hours while 2000 miles away some times bikes are idling more while you are figuring out maps and trail tracks.. you know...
3 - added Daul sports tires for On and Offroad (as getting out of the city to nearest offroads include atleast a 200mile run :O )
4 - Removed the RIM lock they were producing vibrations on highway
5 - Added rear carrier for trunk or lagauge and extra Lamps
6 - Added larger Disc brake in front stock disc was hopeless
7 - If you notice trimeed the seat (i m a small lad :D ) still touch toes only
8 - lowered the fornt suspension
9 - Bought soft bags to use as saddle bags still need to buy or cutom make a frame on rear
10 - looking if this bike can have an option for rear passenger seat and foot pegs >>> ??? any guidance wud be great
11 - added Aluminum belly gaurd for the engine
    12 - add bark busters
    13- 10liter jerry Can

I will be replacing parts as they worn out with japanese for sure just want to make sure if 2007~ CRF 450 (is it ture ????) parts are interchangeable if YES than that would be a great advantage and bike would become even more releable...

Does the LX450 has a radiator fan now? I remember in the past it was overheating in summer in condition like city stop and go.

Are you using LX450 as well ??

The Enduro model do not have fan, but SM model has it, also in Enduro model if you select fan option they fit it before sending it to you.

    here is mine..

Is your bike still a carburetor version? Or have they changed finally to EFI?

When I was about to import this bike I had option to go for an EFI the price difference was only 150$ but I went for Carby, becuase I know carbs and I can handle them in any situations no matter if I am 300~500kms inside a thick forest....

Last year RX3(EFI) got its feul pump bad for resong unknown some say it was becuase of bad feul... but it costed me whole summer as bike stayed parked and waited for new pump.. so I am better off with carbs...
