Its a nice looking bike. Just not happy that he never mentioned these issues on his add or told me about them. I had it transported due to the long distance. Now he's blocked me so can't resolve the matter. Not very decent of him as he knew I was going to use it as an emergency blood bike. But it's off the road toll I can get the issues fixed

Hi. Yes. My CF Moto 650 TR 2015 plate. Has fault codes 47 & 48 oxygen sensor 1 & 2. Used the sequence to re-set them but they recur. Is this a common fault with them? Could it be a false reading? As the bike has only done 800 miles but had been in dry storage for 3 years assume started on occasion. Will it harm the engine running it with these fault codes?

    Thanks in advance.

Oh yes and if they actually do need replacing. Where is best place to buy? Tried ebay but next to none come up and most from Australia. I'm based in the UK and the bike is a UK model

    Many thanks

I wouldn't assume the bike has been regularly started, you could try cleaning them, afterall, if you're going to replace them, nothing to lose, and you could add some redex or similar, and run it through. It could just be a case of the bike having been stood for so long, and, cruddy petrol making it's way through. Could also possibly bypass the lambda sensors, using a Oxygen Lambda O2 Sensor Eliminator Kit, I'd imagine you can get what you'd need relatively easily.

Clean them by removing them, and soaking the sensor in petrol, at least overnight.

Thanks for your advice. That makes good sence due to long term storage and the fact it's done such little miles. Job for the weekend. Cheers 👍

No. Took them off soaked overnight in petrol. Scrubbed them carefully with a toothbrush. Let them dry. Assemble. Re-set the fault codes a d after 5 mins of riding both fault codes 47 & 48 came back on. Grrr

That's a bugger, you could always cap them off?

Surely that would still send same errors and would the bike not run at rich?
