    Hi All,

my name is Jose and I've recently just bought an 650TR, 2014 model - currently it's a non runner, it has 10k miles and previous owner sold it due to health reasons. Bike doesn't turn over, hopefully I'll have it in the garage in a few days so I can start troubleshooting.

    Hi Jose, welcome to MCM
When you turn on the ignition what instrument lights illuminate?
The 2011-2014 model CFs (250-650cc) have a know issue with the Ducati ECU/ECM dying. The later model CF's have a Bosch ECU/ECM which have proven much more reliable.
I'd start with the simple stuff first, fuel stabiliser, flush fuel tank etc. Battery replacement/recharge/load test, change all fluids esp oil and filters then go from there.
You might find some useful info in the Street section of MCM
Let us know how you get on...
    Good luck

    Cheers.
I did wonder, as I sold my Tr in June 2019 to a guy in Essex, according to the DVLA site the tax ran out in June 2020 and MOT in February this year,
Several guys I know who had Tr,s had the same CDI problem.
Best of luck with the Tr...............a decent bike let down by crappy electrics.

Mine was a Lincolnshire reg (FX)
I bought it new from a bike shop in Grimsby.......had a couple of teething problems with it......headstock bearing shot at 1600 miles, disc pads separating from back plate at 650 miles.
The importer (WK bike) where useless, tried everything to get out of a warranty claim.

Iíve just opened the ecu and can see that an attempt to repair has been made previously and Iíll try and diagnose/fix it. However I will try and get an original Ducati ecu?
I believe the other option is to fit a Bosch ecu and the latest throttle bodies - Iíve contacted wk/quadzilla so waiting for them advice.
