Clone Engine Compatibly Question
I recently found out (via this forum) that my engine is a 230cc Honda pushrod clone. Does this mean that engine parts will be compatible as well? This would be extremely helpful since Honda parts are more common than Dong Fang parts here in the US. Thanks for any information anyone could give me.:icon10:
Re: Clone Engine Compatibly Question
Actually it is a 229cc semi clone version of the CG125 Honda engine. Sometimes it is called the CG250 or the 167FMM.
I doubt if many parts are compatible since the engine size has been increased so much but I could be wrong.
I am curious as to what parts you need for this engine?
Google "cg250 parts" or "167FMM parts" Also some parts are available on Ebay

Re: Clone Engine Compatibly Question
Thanks for the info. I don't need to replace anything right now, I'm just trying to make sure I can get parts if something wears out. Right now my engine is running swimmingly. :)
Re: Clone Engine Compatibly Question
These CG250 aka 167FMM seem to be very solid. Haven't heard much about problems with them.
DanDaMan might have the same bike as you have.
