where did you get housing for that bridgestone speedo??
in case anyone wants to know. If you pull those two wires by the clutch and connect them together, you can start the bike in any gear. Life saver

The speedo seller on ebay said it would need a 3.5" opening. I ended up buying two cups. The first at 3.5 was a damn hair too small. The link above was 3-5/8" was a perfect fit- width and depth. Just had to drill and dremel the holes. The metal was thin so pretty easy.

Have you tried out the forum at www.ccwthariders.com ??
Many of the issues you cite in this post have been resolved by CCW. The latest production run of bikes are much better than the earleir models from three years ago. Bolts have been upgraded, welds are better, engine is tighter, and lots of little things that I used to do to my bikes to make them sellable are now factory done. I am actually trying to sell my 2010 heist so I can get the 2013 model. CCW will be manufacturing these bikes in the USA very soon. I believe 2013. Building has been purchased and plans are underway. CCW had made a long term investment intp their products and their customers. I can still get any part I need from distribution, after two years in the business. Many of their competitors have gone out of business for this rason alone. Warranty is solid, and Dealers are making money. Bikes are not perfect, but getting better with every production run. Weaver sells a good product, but lots of other dealers are doing the same or better work with the bikes. CCW is definately here to stay.

Not sure if anyone got back to you on this, but sounds like you have a vapor lock issue. HAve you tried to ride the bike with the gas cap very loose. Try it, ill bet the problem goes away. IF you drill the cap, this proble will go away forever. New bikes have this issue fixed, but some of the older production runs still need to be drilled out. Buss me if you need any help. Phone calls are always free.
Hey, yeah, posted a few pics a few pages back.

Went on real easy. Just had to widen the rear mount holes- front fit perfectly.
