I still do have a license of sorts. School, work, church, and to the doctor's.
I'm allowed to drive to those places, and even the grocery store. :riding:
But still waiting for an explanation why I'm not allowed to ride a motorcycle with my "hardship" license. Something to do with insurance I'm told by the "man".:deal:
December 26th! That's when I just go back to a normal one.:scooter:

Is that SunTong MX e-mail any good for getting Shinerays in the USA?
Seems he is in charge of new bikes development and on-line direct selling in the mainland. Try to ask him I believe you will be able to contact a right person for oversea market.
hi all,
first post, but I have been reading for a while...
these shineray bikes appear to be on sale here in Australia... but I wonder which bike they are selling? the good or the bad.

Cheers,
Marty.
Marty,
Welcome to the site! The Shinerays they have listed on their page all look like their older models and 200cc engines. We know they have some more modern engines available so I'm guessing they still haven't certified for export. Seems strange though because you'd think they have enough interest. :confused1:
How well does their pricing compare to the other Chinese bikes available in Oz?
CC
At $2,300 and below, pretty favourably actually...
The Arqin RT200 goes for about $3,500 new. The puzey XTR2 250 enduro runs around $3,900 (but they were only released here this month)
Kinlon 200 Motard runs between $2,000 and $2,600 depending on where you look. It is pretty popular selling new on ebay.
It's a shame that shineray is the dodgy one, I would've got one.
hidden in the Shineray Australia 'monthly special' section (but not the 'product' section???) is the XY250GY-1. It looks pretty sweet.

haha... I tried to email the guy at Shineray. I got this:
The following message to <jeff@shineray.com.au> was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.1.0 - Unknown address error 550-'no such address here'
I guess Shineray is no longer available in Australia.

Kingmarty, the Australian Shineray distributor has been gone awhile, from what I remember.
Jo'at, this lawsuit seems interesting as I had always assumed (yes, I know, don't ass-u-me :rolleyes1:)that Goldenvale was the same company that sells Roketa, which seemed to get its bikes from Shineray :eek2: I truly think the world is coming to an end when a Chinese company is suing anyone over intellectual property rights (as I thought that Chinese intellectual rights was an oxymoron--I swear it says so in the dictionary :lol8::icon10:)
:icon10:
20 million DOLLARS!?!?!?!
I guess we'll NEVER get the Long March here.
Damn.:pigsfly2:
It's not uncommon for lawyers to pull out absurd amounts of money for claims like this. They almost never get it but just want the big numbers to scare people away.
Shineray would certainly welcome a US importer but they're going to want it on their terms. I think the days of third, fourth and fifth parties sneaking in bikes from China with some stupid untraceable badge are slowly coming to an end.
Worthwhile understanding that the large manufactures never really had to deal with the necessity of marketing and international distribution issues. They're like an old freighter that takes a long time to turn around...

Any one would like to have XY250GY-2 or shineray bikes in US market.
Contact me with MSN.
liujames2001@hotmail.com
What the heck is a XY250GY-2 !?!?!:offtopic::bs:
Is that what they call the GY-VII now or something?:confused1:
I still want a "Long March". Despite the troubles. You'd think a bike with 20+ year old technology :wheelchair:would be very reasonably priced. Especially in this economy.
Plus, I want a camo bike! lol:cryfiddle:
Hey guys.
Is there any one live in north america?
If you live in N.A( america ,canada)
You can get long march with a camo color tank.
The painting have been solved.
contact me if you would like to get long march in N.A
We got members from America and Canada. Are you looking for distributors or individual purchasers? :mwink:
Also, has the problem with the fork clamps been solved?
CC
the triangle clamp have been solved. and there will be camo color XY200GY-7 in North america in next month.
I'm also looking for distributors if anyone right here turns out to be a importer?
also if you guys would like to get one in N.A. leave me your contact information to my mail box. I will let my dealer contact you . I think the price will be reasonable and very competitive comparing with other similar dirt bike.
My MSN/Mail " liu_james2001@yahoo.com
Thank you .
Shineray Motors.
Shineray, can you tell us what the North American retail price or price range will be? I am sure that would help some of us decide. :icon10:
CC
How much the bike costs would decide who wants it!
Seriously, if Shineray wants "in" to the US market, and if you want a strong showing right out of the gate, then a LOWER price than the competition is the smartest route to take.
Start selling the Long March for $1,000 and watch how fast and many you will sell!
The first thing out of the mouths of people here about China bikes is how wimpy they look! lol Then the next question is"How much is it?"
The Long March(GY-VII) is the most manly-macho looking China bike there is!
Price the GY-VII at around $1,000, and you will sell 10+ CONTAINERS of them a day! Big containers too!
Zongshen Sierra's are going for $1,200 at two dealers by my house(in Florida), but the GY-VII would sell faster if they were just a little cheaper.
So how much Shineray?!?!?!:deal:
And it wouldn't hurt to offer them in camo, red, and BLACK!
The reason why Sierras (ZongShen 200GY) are selling for 1,200 is because they're trying to get rid of them. Chances are very high you're buying old stock and at that price they're not making any profit on the unit itself.
There's no way you could get a GY7 for 1000 bucks, even in China. The best is to just hear what they have to say.

sooooo...here I am looking at buying this same bike here in CANADA...it's late Nov 2009......How can I tell or find out if the bikes are the "updated" triple tree??
Bike is sold as a Zstar db200b ( www.zstar.com ) . Have a look and see
Is it a safe machine to buy now??
It looks like it could be a killer off road bike in the rockies.
Looking for serious input before I invest and find out too late....
Hi I want a db200b commando enduro . Anyone know how much they are in Canada?
I got a line on them wholesale but I need to buy 6 bikes.I want 1-2 but to get wholesale I need to take 6 units.
The only time I ever seen this bike retail it was 2995 cnd.I can find it retail anywhere now.
If I can get enough intrest I'll buy 6 and sell them to interested partys ( in canada) for 1450-1500$ ( plus tax and shipping) so I'm thinking like 2000$ or less landed to the front door step.I think it would be a smart move and save us huge money. We just get machines drop shipped to whom everys address
Well pm me or email me if your intrested.I want this bike also.
