TB i get it now if you are going to say something say something which is going to help so what is wrong with what i said and at least i am trying to help unlike some people so keep your insult to yourself or tell me face tio face i am sure we will meet sometime you dont know me and dont have right to say such things which i find rude just change you name to TA Racing (TOTAL ASSHOLE) would be more to your nature
Setting the record very straight forward to avoid any further confusion and miscommunication, people advising others to obtain a fake and bogus license / registration or encourage license / registration scams are on the same level as the clowns - idiots - morons that come to China and assume they are above the law and operate motor vehicles without the appropriate license and registration. Over and out from my side on this issue as everything should be crystal clear to everyone...Quote:
....going to say something say something....
I think TB-Racing was sexually abused as a child and we all should forgive him for his online behaviors.
so you think a agent working to help people get a Chinese license is "illegal" the agent helps you get all the paper work done which we all have done and is a long job to do and the agent arranges a translator to sit next to you when you take the test ?? and yes the translator help you pick the correct answers so what yes the scam is the cost ??? but that's all so MR TB or now called TA you need to read the posting more carefully before you post as to being a clown it take one to know one TA so from one clown to another over and out
Wow ... a little bit of online chatter in MCM ... don't see that often.
I think the point TBR is trying to make is that it is completely inappropriate for foreigners to come into China and flaunt the laws. I've often heard people try to rationalize their inappropriate behavior in two ways:
1) It is too difficult, or expensive, or impossible to do it legally. And/or;
2) All the Chinese people do it (which is debatable).
But hey, if that is how you roll, fair enough. Just don't go crying about being treated unfairly when you are jailed, fined and booted out of the country, and prevented from any re-entry for 10 years. You made your bed, you sleep in it.
The "agent" getting the DL (in the above example) isn't really an agent. A genuine agent will help with all the paperwork, locations, etc., to get a proper, legal DL. I think the current market price for a registered agent's fee in Beijing is around 800-1,000 rmb, but that is only for assisting with getting a legal DL. You have to meet all the criteria, write the exam yourself, supply all the legal documents (e.g., proper visa and overseas license), and take the medical yourself. FESCO, the official government-owned agent, is commonly used by professional expats (e.g., executives from multinational corporations) who have an overseas posting in China.
There are several alternate methods to get a DL, with varying degrees of legality. At one extreme, you can pay 250 rmb and get one manufactured for yourself - totally fake, but hey, TIC, right? I have thought about getting a couple of these for my house cats, as a joke. Then pay another 200 rmb for fake plates & documents for your smuggled/stolen bike, and away you go. Your choice.
I also think that the foreigners who have been in China a while, and have lived through several sensationalized media reports of foreigners doing illegal things, advocate other foreigners doing it right. Back in Canada, if another Canadian screws up and gets tossed in the clink, what the fuck do I care - it doesn't directly affect me, at all. But in China, when the media lusts after reports of illegal foreigner behavior, I cringe with each report - I get painted with the same brush simply because I am a foreigner. So, yeah, foreigners flaunting the law in China DOES affect me personally. China is the polar opposite from being a "multicultural society." And because foreigners are simultaneously admired/hated, I'd prefer to keep the "hate" side of things to a minimum.
If you can't get a DL because you don't qualify - don't get a DL. If you absolutely, positively MUST ride a motorcycle in China, just do it ... but don't ask me to to send you any cakes with files in them.
Anyways, good luck with whatever you decide to do.
Hi Kao Jia Hou
That is the point. The post TA made is rude and not friendly but your post is well done and is not rude so if you cant be politely then dont post ??? and i would never tell someone to get fake DL to pay someone to help to get a "real " DL why not
Hi Prince666,
I started this thread to learn how to obtain a moto license and ride in China legally. Find out where are the must see scenic routes in South Western China. What are the hazards and pitfalls(every country has them & are different) for locals and visitors alike. Please let NOT turn this thread into something negative and lets all move on. Thank you for you "helpful inputs". The price is high plus the added traveling expanses. If this service is available in border cities to Hong Kong or Macau, it might work. Also why May 8 or 9th as we most likely won't be in Asia until October.
PS: please NO more fake anything! After reports of fake baby formula and even cheap items like soya sauce a few years ago, My GF stopped buying most food products that are made in China.
Correct, spot on! Lets hope the MCM member that fell for the Hainan Island and Southern China DL scams via "agents & websites" has big enough balls to come forward and posts scans of his two over-prized fake China DL.
Both DL's look like they were designed by a drunk and stoned teenager using crayons and some outdated black & white version of photoshop....
Lets face it, it's not my problem and at the end of the day, who cares about some people that just want to learn the hard way, eh?
The dates May ...dont mean you ?? just a email i found some time ago i am sure when you get to HK you should be abel to find someone who can help you sort out the paperwork and arrange for you to sit a "legal test" but you will need to take you test in mainland china that why they talk about Hainan for UK passport holders that is great as we dont need a visa for HK or Hainan so please check to see if you need one the medical is just a eye test it took me 1 day to sort out all the papper work and then i booked in the test day and had my eye tested and sat the test i took the test in a north city called Harbin which the test was set in chinese but my wife chinese come along to help as the question came up she told me what the question said and told me what the answer said as why but me being me right i can do this with no help from my wife i got 88/100 fail shit but the police was nice and said you was so close have a go again so i did my wife wanted to help me but no i said shit 87/100 so i had to book the test again this time the wife sat with me again with the book open checking the correct answers at one time a ploice man walked by and my wife ask him for one of the answers to the question to which he told her this time 98/100 pass but all this did not make me a better driver just made me legal ??

steve
yes just one other point if you dont have a agent to help you when it come to th point on the paper work to fill in that ask for your chinese name what is Chinadian going to put down ??? need a chinese person or agent to help you have lived in china to long TA as you think all chinese people are scamers jsut have a bit of faith and if Chinadian is a bit street wise he should be abel to sort out the good from the bad and rafther then being unhelpfull try and being a bit nice to people then maybe i start calling you TB again
:lol8::lol8::lol8:
Hi Steve,
Thanks for posting the test, I gone as far as questions #180 and had to stop. I found out that if I were to drive in China, I would be run over by trains, pay way too much in fines and stay too long in jail. LOL Other than that, I didn't do too bad. One thing I take away from the test is how different China and Canada are. The written test in Canada NEVER mentioned fines or jail terms for breaking the law, only safety issues and road etiquette. Ho and RIGHT OF WEIGHT not way!
PS: I have a Chinese name and can spell it but that's about it.
yes i done the online test as well and got deported after spending 15 days in jail heheh so when it comes to takeing the test in china it is clear people need help ??? so now you can see the advise i gave was correct in the first place well good luck but you did not post your score ??? out of 180 question your took ...it just a good test to show people some of the question you get in the chinese test
I passed my test with 99%. Simply by learning the points I didn't know from my German test.
Here, in this thread nobody is writing who has no driving licence at all. We all can ride a bike/car, know the rules, are responsible people. So, why this bullying? You need an agent help with the paperwork (mine was Fesco), you need someone translating. (Why not the agent or your spouse).
Good test marks 99% some people on this site believe that if you get a agent or a frined to help you pass your DL then it is fake people need help when there come to china and this is what this site is all about good advise but only if you end up with a real DL how you get there in the end does not matter help or no help agent or no agent friend or no friend ??? just get to the end with your real DL well i hope these post help some people
good luck and drive /ride safe
It was more cracking entertaining when you were telling readers how to just pretend that they are deaf and dumb when asked why they have no registration for their motorcycle or when you recommended that they could just use a license of a person that look like them, that’s kind of been swept back with you now only recommending the use of an interpreter to explain the questions on the test since they are in Chinese? Nobody has said that is wrong, I believe most actually found tests that are in English. But the thread was actually about a person just visiting China short-term and the consensus of belief is that you need to be in the country with a residency visa and if on vacation you will not be able to get a license… and then if offered one or if somebody tried to sell you one it would be fake.
In any country you need to be legal to ride, you can easily get on any bike and ride in any country it that simple. But not having a license is illegal and there are repercussions, the test having disclaimers about penalties is likely do to cracking geniuses saying they did not know they had to abide by laws, another cracking genius advised them differently?
Nice screen name, Diablo?
yes my morther was spanish i think you will find chinadian first said about using his friends chinese DL not me and he said but i dont look like him or can't speak chibnese so i " as a Joke" said just preatend and act deaf and dund
and you dont need to be in china on a residency visa to take the DL i took mine on a 2x90 day visitor visa ??? but that was in Harbin so it would be nice to get your facts correct before postting
but thanks for postting
