Значит, от меня пахнет даже через монитор... Обидно... А вот теперь я "апсетнутый"... :eek2:
Anyway, keep us informed on how's CF is been holding.
Moving forward with making the bike more tailor-made - ordered 2 items on Taobao: extra horns from Bosch and 2-cam video recorder from Motocam.
Would need to find a place where to install the recorder but hope the dealer can help.

Just received a couple of pictures from the dealer who confirmed that first set of extras is installed:

Under the seat by the ECU? you have loads of room for the Motocam control by the look of the size of the item but I don't have a size to work with.
You are brave letting the dealer wire up the lights.
Hope you don't have the normal twist and tape connection ?.
I will pay them a visit on Sat, and I have allocated good half of the day for cross-checking every screw. They would need to re-do everything as many times as it would be necessary:) They have not sent me installation video so now they are at risk to repeat the exercise:)
You did say you have not been long in China? TIC (This is China)Quote:

Hi Alex
Good luck tomorrow with the inspection of the bike.
And will you be registering the bike in your name?
Was checking some pictures tonight and I like to post a few off road conditions you WILL encounter on your travel in China.
Here is some nice stuff.

At a blink of an eye, it can turn into this with no option but to go forward's.

Under here is a road? but a big landslide had covered the road, my choice was "try" or take a detour of 150 Km.

Get this one wrong and you are dead.
Interesting stuff at 4700 metres in the middle of May.

None of the pics are showing :)
Sorry, moilami Photobucket has changed the rules for 3rd party hosting so I had to reload direct small pictures only.
All sorted now with BIG pictures
Both big pictures and small pictures are visible now, awesome stuff, thrills mind to just imagine touring there :riding:
Got the bike finally:) Registered oficially, got plates, all fine (for further details - PM conversation is better though). Everything so far so good. Initial observations after first 20km of ride from dealershop to home:
- very balanced bike - very stable even at minimum speed
- seems very light than HD Electra Glide, seems notably heavier than BMW GS650 but the COG is pretty low - so easy to handle
- sometimes it is hard to "find" neutral gear (when the bike is not moving), no such problem during riding, so hope it will be cured after first hunderds of mileage and oill change. Had the same issue with Harley in the past.
- Have to familiarise myself with "computer". I have no English manual so could not find how to switch to dailly odometer, no. of kilometers till the tank is empty etc.
- front brake is good but not as sticky as would I love - need to play with the right handle first and then take it from there.
The above pictures are well noted for future travels!
Bike not for export yet so no English Manual availableQuote:
I have no English manual
I had the same problem with the gears, but it does get better over time.
Good luck and welcome to the CF Club.
So, Leha, gang from the dealer manage to fit properly all the bells and whistles before the weekend, or you were too eager to take a spin?
Well balanced and light bike. That's good.
Sometimes occurs problem with the neutral. Tolerable, if you ask me.
Well:), they had a good week to do the homework so I was not in a hurry.
Two items had to be redone after my check:
a) the lower/fog lights were mounted by bolts only so I have asked them to add screw-nuts for additional reliability
b) navigator/phone mount had to be moved to the right as initially it obscured left mirror view
Other than that - everything looked pretty much Ok (touch wood).
Great news.
Pictures say a 1000s word.
Gotcha, thanks Zorge!
Many thanks for the suggestions!
After some thinking about the name for the new motorcycle my decision is KENT.
This word means White (in Anglo-Saxonian and Welsh), Chief (in Celtic) and Dude/Mate/Buddy (in Russian). In Shakespearean the meaning of the name Kent is King Henry IV, Earl of Kent.
"People with this name have a deep inner desire for travel and adventure, and want to set their own pace in life without being governed by tradition. People with this name are excited by change, adventure, and excitement. They are dynamic, visionary and versatile, able to make constructive use of freedom. They fight being restricted by rules and conventions. They tend to be optomistic, energetic, intelligent, and to make friends easily. They may be changeable, restless, untidy, and rebellious."
So be it.

:riding:
The county of KENT (UK) coat of arms is the White Horse.
Your bike is "white"
so a fitting name IMO

Just need to get some sticker made lol
Yes, thank you! Both kinship and likeness look good enough:)
Or, why not go for something that slides of the tongue... like... I dunno :rolleyes1:
... Slug... yeah...
Slug for short, slides of the tongue (hahahaha pun intended)
White Slug - since as pointed out, your bike is white ...if ya wanna longer name...
:lol8:
Well, draw some pencil lines at lunchtime - as a non-unique idea of putting together a horse and a helmet:)
