Re: Hauling Garbage To The Dump
Took a ride to Deal's Gap (aka The Dragon) on the hack this morning for our breakfast meeting.
Had a full sized monkey in the car for the first time and she did just fine.

Later headed up the Dragon but turned around at MM 7 because the road was blocked by emergency vehicles attending to a crash.

Ran out of gas on the way home but luckily was not on reserve so switched over to reserve and continued on to home.
Rode over 80 miles.
Re: Hauling Garbage To The Dump
Wow! Here I thought you were going to use the little bike for errands and such around the property. Was the passenger with you all 80 miles?
Re: Hauling Garbage To The Dump
I just carried the passenger around a bit, maybe 3 miles. You should have seen all the people gathered around the rig in the parking lot at Deal's Gap.
It is fun to cruise is around at 25 MPH and enjoying the sights. Moves pretty good for a 110.
Two guys flagged me down yesterday to look at the rig. It is as bad at the Ural was for getting stopped and held up.
Re: Hauling Garbage To The Dump
If I had a pizza business here in Yuma, I would get a couple of these as delivery rigs for the attention factor (marketing). I would hope, however, that the delivery guys or gals would not get held up too long discussing the bike with people on the streets :eekers:

You can use the bicycle wheels while while you are test pulling the trailer. They worked for years for me for years. Use BMX tires/tubes which are tough.
Pit bike front wheels are 12" off Ebay. Get wheels with 12 mm axles. Used a 12 mm bolt for the axles which fit in the frame tubing . Used 1/2" CPVC tubing for spacers. Remove the bicycle wheels and axles and drill through the 12 mm bolts where the bicycle axle was secured and secure with a proper size bolt. Use a u-bolt to secure the axle to the outer frame tubing.
Bolt the trailer coupler to lower shock mount or where ever convenient.

I'll take some better photos if you are serious about getting one of the trailers. Off to the mini bikes races at the Gap.
That's the exact set up I was looking at on Amazon.I am interested in doing one of these trailers.I'm not exactly sure how you're doing the U bolt on the axle.Depending on how big the hitch mount hole is,I may have to come up with some way to mount it to the bike.I wouldn't take it on the interstate, but I do ride some roads around here where I run 60mph for about 40 miles.I'll rig up a safety cable between the bike and trailer. The most weight I would put in it is about 50lbs of camping gear.

I'll take some detailed photos later today. The trailer comes with a safety strap. Some argue against using it but I do.

Might be good for a publicity video with a delivery gal riding it and a big pizza box in the car but I don't know about actually using it for delivery.
This might be better.

First photo is the original bicycle wheel. I replaced the bicycle axle with a long 12 mm bolt.
Drilled thought the bolt and use a bolt to secure the axle. Then used a j bolt to support the 12 mm axle on the outer end.
The trailer couple is bolted to the arm. On other bikes I used the lower shock mount.
